Congratulations to the Colaiste Chiarain Concern Debate team who have made it through to the quarter finals of the all Ireland competition defeating Bandon Grammar School, Cork. They successfully upheld the motion that "In the age of social media activism, young people often prioritise virtue signalling over genuine commitment to social change." The team on the day were front row (L to R) Éle, Aimee, Antoni & Keela. Back Row (L to R) were the timekeeper, Aaron and Chairperson, Leah. Well done to the team who will now face Largy College, Monaghan in the quarter final in Dublin on March 12th.

It was a watershed moment on Tuesday 3rd October last as Colaiste Chiarain competed in the school's first ever Senior Golf Event in Tuam golf club for the All-Ireland series qualifier. The school was represented by Isaac and James. Isaac had tied the best gross score but unfortunately lost out on a count back. James came third in the nett category, missing out by just a single shot. While both unfortunately just missed out on the qualifying, it was a new challenge for both players and the school. Well done to Isaac, James and their School Coach, Mr. Paul Kelly.
